About the event

Codependency is a behavioural trait that can be developed in childhood or later in life.

It is where we have had to become heightened to people’s reactions around us in order to feel safe, liked & enough.

Codependents can become people pleasers and it can make them feel vulnerable and unsafe if they feel people are judging them or people do not like them.

It can be a pattern of helping, rescuing or trying to control others. They often do this at the expense of their own needs.

How you define yourself is largely based on what you do for others.

This can come from a place of not feeling good enough and needing external validation.

Some of the behavioural traits are :-

Needing to be liked

Low Self Esteem

Has trouble setting boundaries with people

Need to feel in control

Rescuing  people

Be overly reactive to situations and people

You value other peoples opinion over    your own

You have a sense of responsibility for others

You often feel guilty

THE GOOD NEWS IS IT IS POSSIBLE TO UNLEARN THESE TRAITS

On this course we will look at :-

What it is

Where it may have come from

What the main behavioural traits are and ways to start to  recognise them
